Lantau Hiking Trail in Hong Kong was opened on December 4, 1984. This 70km trail is circular and starting and finishing point of Lantau Hiking trail is in Mui Wo. It is similar to the MacLehose Hiking Trail.
Lantau Hiking Trail is divided into 12 stages with different lengths and you can choose the trail as per your own requirements. Through out your hiking you will find the way marks and information boards. Lantau Hiking Trail is a paradise for photographers, naturalist, geographer and for historians. The trail passes the 934m high Lantau Peak and the famous Big Tian Tan Buddha, which is the highest sitting bronze Buddha statue in the world.
