Lugu Lake to Yading Trekking

The beautiful Lugu Lake is situated on the border of Yunnan and Sichuan.
It is well known for the scenery and the local Mosuo people who have been isolated from the “modern world” until recent years.
Yading is located in western Sichuan and used to be part of Kham Tibet. The Tibetans regards the three high peaks (Chenresig (Avalokitesvara), Jambeyang (Manjusri) and Chanadorje (Vajrapani) of around 6000 meters as holy mountains.
The trek from Lake Lugu to Yading is one of the most beautiful trekking routes in China. You can combine the trip with visits to Lijiang and Chengdu among other places.

Suggested trekking itinerary:

Day 1 - Wenquan Xiang to Wujiao village
Day 2 - Wujiao village to Kaer Pasture (3500 m)
Day 3 - Kaer Pasture to Guni Village
Day 4 - Guni Village to Shuiluo Village
Day 5 - Shuiluo Village to Gold Mine
Day 6 - Gold Mine to Chong-gu Temple, via Chenadorje Pass(4800m)
Day 7 - Chong-gu Temple to Luorong Pasture
Day 8 - Luorong Pasture to Kas Village.
