Himachal Pradesh is a state in the north-west of India. It is bordered with Jammu and Kashmir on north, Punjab on west and south west, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh on South. It is situated at an altitude of 450m. Shimla is the capital of Himachal Pradesh.

Himachal is also called the fruit bowl of the country because of orchards scattered all over the place. It is also well known for a variety of animals. There are 1200 birds and 359 animal species in the state. Himachal is also one of few states which are still untouched by external customs.
