The Trans Sierra Nevada Mount Whitney trek in California is a beautiful trekking route through spectacular mountain scenery across Sequoia National Park including high passes, canyons and hot springs.

Itinerary of this 125km long trek:

Day 1 - Lodgepole on the West Side of Sequoia National Park to Bearpaw Meadows

Day 2 - Bearpaw Meadows to Precipice Lake in the upper part of the Valhalla Cirque

Day 3 - Precipice Lake to Moraine Lake

Day 4 - Moraine Lake to Kern Hot Springs

Day 5 - Kern Hot Springs to confluence of Kern River / Wallace Creek

Day 6 - Wallace Creek to Guitar Lake

Day 7 - Scaling Mount Whitney (4419m)

Day 8 - Whitney basecamp to Rock Creek

Day 9 - Rock Creek to Horse Shoe Meadows trailhead on the Eastern Side of the Sierra Nevada
