Location

Washington is the Northwestern-most state of the United States. It is bordered by Idaho to the east, Canada (British Columbia) to the north and Oregan to the south. Though Seattle is the largest city and most well known city in Washington the capital of this state is Olympia.
The high mountains of the Cascade Range run north-south, kind of divides the state in the parts:  Western Washington, which has a mostly marine west coast climate with relatively mild temperatures, wet winters, and dry summers. Eastern Washington has a relatively dry climate with large areas of steppe and a few truly arid deserts.
