Annapurna region trekking information

The Annapurna region is a very famous trekking region in Nepal. It is home to several of the highest and/or most spectacular mountains on earth (f.e. Annapurna, Machhapuchhre or Fish tail mountain), beautiful valleys and lakes, Manang and Tibetan villages, monasteries and rare animals.
For most trekkers the city of Pokhara is the base for trekkings in the Annapurna region.
By far the most popular trekking is the world famous Annapurna Circuit Trekking. Other well known trekkings are the Jomsom-Muktinath trekking, Annapurna Base Camp trek and Poon Hill trek.
The more challenging Dhaulagiri circuit and Manaslu circuit trekking join with the Annapurna Circuit trekking on the west and east side of the Annapurna range respectively.
