Bamboo trekking information

The trekking route to Annapurna Sanctuary is rich with spectacular view of White Mountains. It is a short trek but also with a steep climbs and few narrow bridges to be crossed, but all together this trekking route is not difficult. This trekking route offers you the variety of terrain of lowland villages, rice fields to glaciers and outstanding high mountains views.

You can start your trekking from Pokhara and then go to Annapurna Base Camp and then be back in Pokhara in the 10 days of short time. On your way to trek you will see people from different castes such as Brahmans, Chhetris and a few Gurungs. The trekking trails takes you to the Landruk, Nayapul. Stiff climb which will take you to the Jhinu Danda. You will also find a hot spring with cement bathing but you have to ask it with the lodge owner about it. Gurung village at Chhomrong has divided into three parts. In this trekking route you will enjoy the great mountains view from Annapurna base camp, sunrise and mountains view from Poonhill, hot spring.

Day 3 - Chhomrong to Bamboo
Day 4 - Bamboo to Himayan Hotel
Day 5 - Himalayan Hotel to Machhapuchhare Base Camp
Day 6 - Machhapuchhare Base Camp tp Annapurna Base Camp
Day 7 - Annapurna Base Camp to Himalayan Hotel
Day 8 - Himalayan Hotel to Chhomrong
Day 9 - Chhomrong to Ghandruk
Day 10 - Ghandruk to Naya Pul

The best time for trekking is from the month of Ocotber to November and March to April.
