Braga trekking information

Braga or Bryaga is a small Tibetan style village situated at the elevation of around 3500 metres.

At Bryaga there is an ancient gompa called as Gompa of Bragya, which is the largest gompa in the district and it also has a huge display of statues, thangkas and manuscripts which is according to the people is 400 to 500 years old.

Visiting Bragya in the month of Spring can lead the trekkers to the archery contests which is celebrated with lots of drums and dancing. After the festival the booze starts flowing to enjoy the festival with the homemade booze. From Bragya it is just a short walk to reach Manang.
