Pharping trekking information

Pharping is traditional Newari town situated 19km south of Kathmandu which is untouched by the tourists. Pharping is famous for Hindu and Tibetan pilgrimage sites. There is also a Tibetan Buddhist monastery.

The main popular pilgrimage sites at Pharping are - Tharig Gompa, Drolma Lhakhang, Rigzu Phodrang Gompa, Guru Rinpoche Cave, Vajra Yogini Temple, Do Ngak Choling Gompa.

Pharping can be reached by buses which leaves from Old Bus Park, Kathmandu City throughout the day to Pharping. Dakshinkali can also be joined while visiting Pharping.
