Ghandruk is situated at an altitude of 2012m above the sea level and it is counted as a most popular trekking destination situated at the northwest of Pokhara, Annapurna Region.

The people who live in Ghandruk are mostly Gurungs with their own religion and culture. Gurung Valley in Ghandruk is the second largest Gurung village settlement in Nepal and also the headquarters of the Annapurna Conservation Project. The main attraction of Ghandruk is the traditional Gurung Museum which displays the local traditional clothes and equipment used by the Gurung people which offer an insight into the life style of Gurung people. The spectacular views of the Annapurna South, Machhapuchchhre and Himalchuli can be seen from Ghandruk.
